Rift Cutting will have good width straight grain and almost no flaker.
Rift Cutting also used for low quality oak wood. This way is rift cut outside of the wood and
left the center with holes or knots.
Horizontal Slicer is slow and mostly slice ebony, teak, walnut and other expensive species.
If the log inside is good and too much sap wood.
The Horizontal also good for such wood.
After slicing, only white sap wood backing board left and will have good output rate.
Horizontal also good for thin veneer slicing such as 0.10mm to 0.30mm.
Vertical Slicer is fast and mostly slice American species for crown cut grain.
It is very fast and one machine can slice around 10 - 20 cub meters one day.
Slice mostly white oak, red oak, walnut, ash, maple etc.
Vertical slicer is fast and not suitable for expensive species.
